Clear answers for using TuitionCorner
Choose the audience closest to your question, then search in plain language. For an account or case, contact support without posting private information publicly.
Registration
How do I apply to become a TuitionCorner Teacher?
Complete the basic form, verify both Email and WhatsApp, and submit the registration application for Admin review.
The first form asks for contact, location, age, gender choice, teaching snapshot and acceptance of the current Terms and Privacy Notice. It does not ask for a password, bank details or programme payment. After both contacts are verified, the application enters Admin review.
Why is there no password in the first registration form?
The first submission is a Teacher Registration Application, not an active account.
Login access begins only after both contacts are verified, Admin approves the application, and you use the secure password-setup link. TuitionCorner should never email you a plaintext password.
Contact verification
Which contacts must I verify?
Both your Email and WhatsApp number must be verified before the application enters Admin review.
Email OTP verifies the registered Email; WhatsApp OTP verifies the stated WhatsApp number. If your mobile and WhatsApp numbers differ, WhatsApp verification must not be shown as verification of the other mobile number. OTP verification proves control of a contact, not identity or qualification.
Registration recovery
Can I continue verification later?
Yes. Closing the OTP step should preserve the pending application for secure resumption.
Use the Continue an existing registration route with a registered contact. The system should route you to pending verification, application status, password setup, login or recovery according to the verified state without creating a duplicate account.
Admin review
What happens after I submit the registration application?
Admin may approve it, request a correction, reject it, place a reasoned hold or route a possible duplicate for review.
An application under review cannot log in, appear publicly, receive matching or access family contacts. If approved, you receive a secure password-creation link. A correction or rejection message should use truthful, relevant wording and explain the available next step.
Teacher status
What is the difference between Registered and Listed?
Registered means your account is active; Listed means the required profile and review gates are complete for the approved marketplace scope.
A Registered Teacher can log in, complete the digital profile and use permitted features. A Listed Teacher has completed the required profile, evidence, teaching scope and Admin listing review. Listing does not mean every credential is verified, public visibility is on, or tuition is guaranteed.
Eligibility
What is the minimum eligibility to apply?
You must be at least 18 and generally be pursuing graduation or higher.
You also need valid contacts, basic location and teaching-interest information, and acceptance of the current documents. A capable arts, music, sports, language, coding or vocational instructor may be considered through a controlled, evidence-based exception. Payment never creates eligibility.
Profile completion
What should I include in my teaching profile?
Keep your teaching scope, experience, qualification, locality, availability, introduction and supporting evidence accurate and current.
Select structured class-subject combinations where possible. Use the teaching introduction to explain your journey, approach and relevant achievements without adding direct contact or payment solicitation. A complete profile improves matching information but does not guarantee work or a ranking.
Profile privacy
Which profile details may be public?
Approved profile details may be public; direct contacts, exact address, DOB, documents, financial data and internal notes remain private.
Public fields may include your name, Teacher ID, approved photo, general locality, profession, experience, qualification summary, teaching scopes, introduction and appropriately labelled reviews. Public display is different from permission to reuse the content in advertising, which requires separate marketing consent.
Documents
Why are documents requested and who can see them?
Documents support a defined verification need and should be accessible only to authorized staff or processors.
Upload genuine, clear and relevant evidence. Raw identity, address and qualification documents are not public and are not automatically shared with families. A replaced or retired document may leave limited audit metadata where required for integrity, safety, disputes or law.
Verification
What do verification labels mean?
Each label confirms only the evidence and scope that was reviewed.
For example, Email verified confirms control of the Email, while Qualification verified applies to the named credential. A label does not prove every profile claim, guarantee teaching quality or authorize every subject and class. Self-declared information must not be presented as verified.
Tuition Jobs
Can a Registered Teacher browse and apply for Tuition Jobs?
A Registered Teacher may browse the permitted sanitized feed, but applying should remain gated until the Teacher is Listed and matching-eligible.
Review every available detail before applying. Only apply for a class, subject, mode, location, schedule and fee basis you can responsibly deliver. If current live code behaves differently, the page must follow the verified implementation until the approved migration is complete.
Where can I see my application status?
Use the current Applied Tuition Jobs area and read the status shown for that requirement.
An application is not an assignment. Shortlisted means the profile is under consideration; contact exchange and Demo require the authorized next step; official fixation follows the event defined in the accepted documents. Status labels must match current code and must not copy unverified V1 timings.
Matching
How does TuitionCorner shortlist Teachers?
Suitability and safety come first; the family makes the final decision.
Matching may consider class-subject fit, mode, locality, schedule, fee compatibility, current availability, verified evidence, response history and relevant operational outcomes. There is no Bronze-Silver-Gold-Platinum ranking. A paid programme must not override a hard mismatch or appear as a quality badge.
Why do I see few or no matching jobs?
Your active scope, mode, locality, schedule, fee preference or availability may not match current open requirements.
Keep structured class-subject scopes and availability current. A strong profile may still receive no opportunity when current demand does not fit. Do not add subjects, locations or times you cannot genuinely serve, and do not expect an optional subject test or paid programme to override suitability.
Demo
What should I do before a Demo?
Confirm the topic, learner level, mode, place, duration, participants and any charge before the Demo.
Prepare a short explanation and a simple diagnostic activity. Arrive or join on time, use professional communication and keep the setting safe. A Demo is mutual assessment; it does not guarantee selection or payment beyond the disclosed arrangement.
Marketplace payments
What is the ordinary marketplace Service Charge?
Unless the accepted Assignment Snapshot states a different lawful amount, the Service Charge is 100% of one month's agreed tuition fee.
The Service Charge applies when TuitionCorner generates an officially fixed marketplace assignment. It is separate from any Confirmed Tuition Programme fee. The assignment-specific Snapshot controls the actual amount, payment route and any accepted exception.
How is the Service Charge collected?
It is normally recovered from the first advance month or as 50% of each of the first two month-end collections.
Under advance payment, TuitionCorner ordinarily retains the first month's collected fee toward the full Service Charge. Under month-end payment, it ordinarily retains 50% and remits 50% from each of the first two monthly collections. Later direct payment may begin after the full charge is recovered and the route is recorded.
Cancellation and settlement
What happens if tuition stops during the first two months?
Verified completed-class value is divided 50% as TuitionCorner Service Charge and 50% as Teacher entitlement.
The value is calculated from the recorded fee and attendance, using a reasonable pro-rata method where no per-class amount is stated. Any family money held for undelivered classes is handled under the approved refund process. Mandatory rights and case-specific remedies still apply.
Payment route
May the family pay me directly?
Yes, when the Assignment Snapshot allows it and TuitionCorner is informed.
Direct payment is not bypass by itself. Report any early or changed direct payment promptly so the assignment and outstanding Service Charge remain correct. Keep a lawful invoice or receipt where required.
Conduct and payments
What is intentional bypass?
It is the intentional concealment of a TuitionCorner introduction, continuation or payment to avoid an accepted obligation.
Properly disclosed direct payment is allowed. If intentional bypass is confirmed after review, TuitionCorner may block the Teacher and cancel active or pending assignments subject to safe transition and settlement of delivered classes. A claim of INR 10,000 or proven actual direct loss, whichever is higher, is evidence-based, subject to applicable law or competent determination, and is not an automatic debit.
Conduct and safeguarding
What conduct and safeguarding rules must I follow?
Maintain respectful boundaries, use information only for teaching, protect minors and report serious concerns promptly.
Never use corporal punishment, humiliation, threats, sexualized conduct, grooming, harassment, discrimination or intoxication during class. Do not record or publish a learner without the required permission. Do not complete examinations, impersonate a learner, provide leaked material or support plagiarism.
Reviews
Why is a review not shown or not verified?
A review remains Unverified until Admin confirms sufficient evidence and may be moderated for privacy, safety or abuse.
Do not buy, exchange, coerce or retaliate over reviews. You may open a Service Case and provide relevant evidence, but an unfavourable review is not removed only because you disagree with it. Advertising reuse needs separate marketing consent.
Account and programme closure
Can I close my Teacher account or a programme without losing all records?
You may request closure, but programme status, account status and retained records are handled separately.
Closing or refunding a programme does not automatically delete the Teacher account or independently verified evidence. Account closure does not erase accrued payments, accepted documents, dispute evidence, safety records or other information that must lawfully be retained.
