Effective from 1 September 2026
For TuitionCorner visitors, adult account holders, Teachers, Students, Guardians and service contacts
Plain-language summary
Pragyom Learning Private Limited operates TuitionCorner. We collect and use personal information only where reasonably needed to run accounts, understand learning needs and Teacher profiles, verify information, match users, support tuition, process permitted payments, protect people and the platform, improve operations and meet legal duties. A limited Teacher profile or learning requirement may be public, but direct contacts, exact addresses, private documents, child details and financial information are not public. Acknowledging this Notice is not blanket consent to marketing, advertising, recording, publicity, optional cookies or unrelated use.
The practical rule: Share only what is needed. Review public profile fields before submitting them. Contact details are exchanged only after both sides confirm interest and TuitionCorner approves the operational stage. Advertising or social-media use requires separate marketing consent.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Pragyom Learning Private Limited, CIN U85500BR2025PTC075732, operates the TuitionCorner brand and decides why and how the personal information described in this Notice is processed. In Indian data-protection language, it is the Data Fiduciary; it may also be described as the controller. From 1 September 2026 it is the operator for migrated and new TuitionCorner accounts and services covered by the active documents.
Registered office: B-Hub, New Dak Bungalow Road, Patna, Bihar - 800001. Privacy contact: Jayita Kayal, Customer Support Manager and Consumer Grievance Officer. Email: contact@pragyom.com. Official call/WhatsApp number: 9830430075. We do not claim that this contact is a statutory Data Protection Officer unless Pragyom is required to appoint one and publishes that appointment.
2. Scope of this Notice
This Notice applies to tuitioncorner.com and the TuitionCorner public website, registration and login journeys, Teacher, Student, Parent, Admin and CRM panels, tuition jobs, matching, profiles, support, communications and any related web, PWA or mobile interface that links to this Notice. It covers ordinary marketplace activity and the common platform records used to support it.
A separately named Pragyom-managed programme, subscription, batch, session, attendance, progress, payment or payout service may provide an additional privacy notice for information or processing unique to that service. The specific notice controls the subject it expressly covers; this Notice continues for the remaining TuitionCorner processing. A third-party website or service has its own privacy practices.
3. Information we may collect
The information depends on the journey and features used. It may include:
- Account and contact information: adult account-holder name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email, login credentials, OTP and contact-verification records, account status and recovery information.
- Teacher information: profile photo, Teacher ID, profession, qualification summary, experience, teaching scopes, languages, general locality, availability, applications, Demo and assignment history, training or test records, public biography and moderated media.
- Teacher verification information: identity, age, address, education, qualification, certification or other evidence submitted for a defined check, together with review status and audit history.
- Student and Guardian information: adult account-holder identity and contact, relationship to a learner, and the learner's name or label, age band, class, board, subject or skill, language, schedule, broad locality and necessary learning-support information.
- Tuition journey information: requirement, match, application, shortlist, contact exchange, Demo, fixation, Assignment Snapshot, attendance, class report, rescheduling, cancellation, replacement, feedback, review, complaint, safety and dispute records.
- Payments and accounting information: amount, purpose, status, payment reference, bank or payout details where required, refund and settlement records, invoices, receipts and fraud checks. Full payment-card credentials should be entered only into the authorized payment provider's secure page, not an ordinary TuitionCorner form or support message.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser details, timestamps, pages or features used, referral source, session and security events, cookie choices, error logs and diagnostic information.
- Communications: Email, WhatsApp, telephone, form, support and Service Case content. A call, class or meeting is recorded only under a separate notice or permission where required.
- Consent and audit information: document version, notice shown, choices made, date, time, account or contact used, and later withdrawal or change.
We avoid routine collection of Aadhaar, PAN, a child's full date of birth, exact school identity, medical information or other sensitive evidence unless a defined verification, payment, safety or legal need exists. Do not place such information in a public profile, requirement, review or free-text field.
4. Where information comes from
- directly from you when you visit, register, update a profile, post a requirement, apply, communicate, pay or request support;
- from an adult Guardian managing a learner's account;
- from the Teacher, Student or Guardian involved in a Demo, assignment, payment, attendance record, review, safety report or dispute;
- from authorized payment, communication, maps, video, cloud, authentication or analytics providers;
- from staff records created while verifying, matching, supporting or investigating a service; and
- from public or authoritative sources where reasonably needed to verify a claim and permitted by law.
Information provided by another user is not automatically treated as true. We may ask for confirmation or evidence before using it for a material decision.
5. Why we use information
We use relevant information to:
- create, verify, secure, recover, migrate and administer accounts;
- receive, review and maintain Teacher profiles and learning requirements;
- search, match, shortlist and support introductions, Demos and assignments;
- verify contacts, scoped Teacher credentials and other submitted evidence;
- operate attendance, progress, feedback, replacement and support workflows where enabled;
- collect or facilitate permitted payments, refunds, Tutor settlements, accounting and fraud checks;
- send necessary account, verification, requirement, Demo, assignment, payment, safety and Service Case messages;
- moderate public profiles, requirements, photos, reviews and other user content;
- prevent duplicate accounts, spam, fraud, intentional bypass, harassment, unsafe conduct and security incidents;
- measure reliability, accessibility and service performance using minimized analytics; and
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce accepted documents and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We process personal information only for a lawful and stated purpose using a basis available at that time. Depending on the activity, this may include your clear consent, information voluntarily provided for the service you requested, steps needed to perform an accepted service, another use recognized by applicable law, a legal duty, safety, or a legitimate legal claim. Consent for one purpose does not authorize an unrelated purpose.
6. Public Teacher profiles
A listed Teacher's approved profile is public by default so families can assess teaching fit. It may show the Teacher's name, Teacher ID, approved profile photo, general locality, profession, experience, qualification summary, teaching scopes, languages, short teaching profile, moderated media and public reviews with their verification label. Public does not mean approved for advertising or unrestricted reuse.
Always private: direct mobile, WhatsApp and email contacts; date of birth; exact address and coordinates; private availability; passwords and OTPs; identity, age, address and qualification documents; bank, payment and payout details; internal notes and technical identifiers
Sensitive public use: any sensitive information is made public only after a specific need, clear notice and the required permission or other lawful basis
Visibility request: a Teacher may ask through Contact Support or a Service Case to restrict or correct a default-public field. We will review the request, subject to information required for an active service, safety, law or a valid record
We may temporarily withhold or remove public content while it is being verified, corrected, moderated or investigated. A verification label applies only to the evidence and scope actually reviewed and is not a guarantee of teaching quality or future conduct.
7. Public learning requirements
A public or searchable learning requirement uses a Requirement ID and a minimized description. It may show class or level, subject or skill, teaching mode, broad locality, schedule and budget basis. It must not show the family's identity, direct contact, exact address or coordinates, a child's full date of birth, exact school, medical details, documents, payment information or unrestricted private notes.
For example, a broad service area such as Kankarbagh, Patna may be shown. A flat number or precise meeting address is shared only through the controlled operational stage when reasonably needed.
8. Reviews, feedback and publicity
Any registered user may submit a review. A submitted review is labelled Unverified by default until Admin verifies sufficient relationship or other evidence. A review may still be moderated, restricted or withheld for privacy, safety, illegality, abuse, irrelevance, manipulation or inadequate evidence. The visible label must not imply that TuitionCorner verified every factual opinion in the review.
Feedback used privately for service support, quality review or programme operations is not automatically a public review. Before public display we may remove direct contacts, child details, exact locations, financial information, accusations needing private handling or other unnecessary personal information.
A public profile, photo, review, testimonial, learner work, voice, video or other identifiable material may be reused in advertising, promotional posts or social media only after separate marketing or publicity consent. Material involving a minor also requires the verified Guardian's permission and any additional protection required by law. Withdrawing publicity consent stops new optional use within a reasonable time but does not undo lawful use already completed or copies outside our reasonable control.
9. Contact exchange and private service details
Teacher and family private contact details may be shared with each other only after both sides confirm interest and TuitionCorner approves the authorized operational stage. Precise service addresses, learner details and payment instructions are shared only with authorized recipients and only when reasonably needed for the approved Demo, assignment, safety or payment purpose.
Recipients must use the information only for that tuition and must not publish, resell, scrape, retain unnecessarily, harass or use it for unrelated recruitment or marketing. TuitionCorner cannot control every act after an authorized recipient receives information, but it may investigate misuse, restrict access and preserve evidence.
10. Minors and Guardians
A responsible adult owns and manages the account for a learner under 18 and confirms authority to provide necessary information and make privacy and service choices for that learner. We use child information only for the learning, account, safety and support purposes for which it is reasonably needed. A minor must not independently create an account or accept the governing documents.
- We seek verifiable parent or lawful-Guardian consent where applicable law requires it.
- We do not knowingly use a child's personal information for targeted advertising or unrelated behavioural monitoring.
- We minimize public child information and do not make direct contacts, exact address, school identity, medical details or documents public.
- A request concerning a minor must come from the verified responsible adult, unless applicable law provides another route.
- If we learn that a minor supplied information without the required adult authority, we may restrict the account and delete or limit the information after preserving any record needed for safety or law.
11. Verification, OTPs and account recovery
We may normalize contacts and use Email or WhatsApp OTPs, passwords, device and session checks, and audited Admin review to verify control and recover an account. Where the system supports it, OTPs are stored as hashes with limited delivery, expiry, attempt and security records rather than reusable plaintext codes. A mobile number that differs from a WhatsApp number is not treated as WhatsApp-verified.
An OTP proves control of a contact for that transaction; it does not by itself prove identity, age, guardianship, ownership of a document, qualification or fitness to teach. Recovery replies may remain generic until account ownership is sufficiently established. Never send a password, OTP or full payment-card details through an ordinary support message.
12. Documents and credential evidence
Identity, age, address, qualification and other verification documents are private. Access is limited to authorized staff and processors with a defined need, using private storage or controlled links where available. Documents are not automatically shared with families or Teachers, and they must not be used for public promotion without separate permission.
When verified evidence is replaced, the last verified version may remain effective until the replacement is decided so a public label is not changed without review. When a document is retired or deleted, we may retain minimal audit information such as document category, checksum, decision, actor, date and replacement relationship where needed for integrity, fraud prevention, an accepted agreement, dispute or law.
13. Cookies, analytics and optional providers
Strictly necessary: cookies or similar storage needed for security, login sessions, load balancing, preferences, consent choices and core forms
Optional: analytics, advertising, embedded media or similar technologies that are not required for the core service and should load only after the required choice
You can revisit optional cookie choices. Refusing non-essential cookies must not block core registration, account, enquiry or support functions, although a particular optional feature may not work. Browser controls may also block cookies, but disabling necessary storage can prevent secure login or saved preferences.
Maps, video, social media and other embedded services may receive technical information when loaded. Where practical, we load them only when needed and provide the relevant choice. Their own notices also apply to processing they control.
14. Service communications and marketing choices
We may send necessary account, verification, requirement, shortlist, Demo, assignment, payment, refund, safety and Service Case messages through verified Email, WhatsApp, telephone, SMS or the account. These operational messages are necessary to administer the requested service and are separate from marketing.
Newsletters, offers, advertising audiences, promotional calls and publicity require a separate choice where applicable. You may withdraw that optional choice through the offered control or Contact Support without ending necessary service messages. Call recording, class recording, research participation and public testimonial use require their own notice or permission where required.
15. Who we share information with
We share only the information reasonably needed for the stated purpose with:
- selected Teachers or families at the controlled matching, contact-exchange, Demo or assignment stage;
- authorized Pragyom staff and contractors supporting verification, matching, communication, safety, finance, technology and complaints;
- cloud hosting, document storage, Email, WhatsApp or communication, OTP, maps, video, analytics, security and customer-support providers;
- payment gateways, banks, payout providers, accountants, auditors, insurers and professional advisers where relevant;
- a successor or transaction adviser during a lawful restructuring, merger, financing or transfer, with appropriate protection; and
- courts, regulators, law-enforcement, emergency services or public authorities where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary for safety or a legal claim.
Processors receive only what they need and are expected to follow contracts, security requirements, instructions and applicable law. Pragyom remains responsible for processing done on its behalf to the extent required by law. We do not sell personal information as a standalone data-broker product, and a service request is not indirect consent to unrelated advertiser contact.
16. International processing and third-party links
Some service providers may process information in India or another country. Where information is processed outside India, we use providers and arrangements permitted by applicable law and follow any notified transfer or localization restriction that applies to the data or service. Location may change when providers or legal requirements change.
Our website may link to another website, payment page, map, video or communication service. After you leave TuitionCorner or directly use a third-party service, that provider's terms and privacy notice may apply. A link does not mean that TuitionCorner controls all of that provider's practices.
17. Controlled AI-assisted processing
We may use controlled AI assistance to summarize, classify, search, draft or improve internal work. Where used, access should be purpose-limited, data-minimized, configured privately where available and protected from unnecessary logging or model training. Highly sensitive documents should not be sent to a general-purpose AI service without an approved need and protection.
AI output does not by itself verify identity or qualifications, approve or reject a Teacher, decide a safeguarding issue, send a user message, change a CRM record, determine a refund or make another binding decision. Material identity, safety, financial, communication and account actions require deterministic controls or authorized human confirmation.
18. Security and personal-data breaches
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. These may include access controls, staff permissions, authentication, hashing or encryption where appropriate, private object storage, controlled document links, backups, logging, monitoring, vendor safeguards and incident procedures. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will investigate, contain and document it. We will notify affected people and the appropriate authority without undue delay and with the information required by the law then in force. A notice may explain what happened, likely effects, actions taken, protective steps and a contact for help. Report suspected compromise promptly through Contact Support.
19. Retention, deletion and account closure
We keep information only while reasonably needed for the stated service, account, verification, payment, safety, dispute, audit or legal purpose. Retention differs by category. Active profiles and requirements may be retained while the account or service remains active; transaction, tax, accepted-document, fraud, safety and dispute evidence may be kept for the period required by law or a legitimate claim. Security and processing logs may be retained for a defined protective period. Backups expire through controlled cycles.
When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, tokenize or restrict it. Account closure does not automatically erase money records, accepted agreements, verification decisions, safety reports, disputes or audit evidence that must be retained. Public visibility should be removed or restricted when the supporting purpose ends, subject to lawful exceptions. Where required, we will provide advance notice before inactivity-based deletion.
20. Your choices and privacy requests
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may ask for a summary of personal information being processed, correction or completion of inaccurate information, an update, restriction of public visibility, withdrawal of an optional consent, deletion where retention is not needed, information about relevant sharing, grievance review, or nomination of another individual where that right applies.
Send a request through Contact Support or to contact@pragyom.com. Include only enough information to locate the account and explain the request; never send a password or OTP. We will acknowledge and respond within the period required by the law then in force. A request may be limited or refused where identity is not established, another person's privacy would be harmed, processing is needed for the current service, safety, fraud prevention, law or a valid legal claim, or another lawful exception applies. We will explain the available reason and review route where appropriate.
When consent is the basis, withdrawal should be as easy as giving it. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid and may prevent a feature that cannot reasonably operate without the information. We will stop optional processing within a reasonable time unless continued use is required or authorized by law.
21. Your responsibilities
- provide accurate information and do not impersonate another person;
- do not suppress material facts when submitting identity or address evidence;
- do not place another person's private or child information in a public field without authority;
- use authentic information when requesting correction, access or deletion;
- do not submit a knowingly false or frivolous privacy complaint; and
- protect passwords and OTPs and report suspected compromise promptly.
22. Changes, grievances and applicable law
The active page shows its version and effective date. Material changes are issued as a new immutable version. Where a new notice, consent or acknowledgement is required, it is presented through an effective channel; historical acceptance and consent evidence is not rewritten. A changed purpose that requires consent will receive a new specific request rather than relying on this general Notice.
For a privacy question or grievance, contact Jayita Kayal, Customer Support Manager and Consumer Grievance Officer, at contact@pragyom.com or 9830430075, or use Contact Support for a trackable Service Case. Please first allow us the opportunity to investigate and respond. You may then use any complaint or statutory remedy available under Indian law, including the Data Protection Board route when applicable.
Acknowledgement
By acknowledging this Notice, you confirm that you had access to this version and understand the described processing and choices. Acknowledgement is not blanket consent. Optional marketing, publicity, recording, non-essential cookies and any other activity requiring consent use a separate clear choice.
