TuitionCorner Terms of Use

Version TC-LEGAL-APPROVED-2026-09-V2.2 · Effective 1 September 2026

Effective from 1 September 2026

Operated by Pragyom Learning Private Limited (CIN U85500BR2025PTC075732)

Plain-language summary

TuitionCorner helps adult account holders and independent individual Teachers find and manage ordinary marketplace tuition. Users must give correct information, use shared contacts only for the approved tuition, follow recorded payment arrangements and protect learners. The family and Teacher make the final teaching decision and are primarily responsible for their independent relationship. TuitionCorner does not guarantee a match or result unless a separately accepted programme gives a specific written assurance. The numbered sections below are binding; summaries and examples only explain them.

2. Operator and transition to Pragyom Learning

TuitionCorner is operated by Pragyom Learning Private Limited, CIN U85500BR2025PTC075732, with registered office at B-Hub, New Dak Bungalow Road, Patna, Bihar – 800001. Contact: contact@pragyom.com or 9830430075.

From 1 September 2026, existing TuitionCorner accounts, records and continuing services are administered by the Company under these V2 documents. Historical agreements, accepted commercial snapshots, payments, disputes and legal records remain traceable and are not rewritten merely because the operator or document version changed.

3. Eligibility, accounts and acceptance

An account holder must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. A minor must not create an independent account or enter into an arrangement through TuitionCorner. A Guardian owns and manages the account used for a learner under 18.

New users must affirmatively accept the current Terms and acknowledge the current Privacy Notice during registration or before the first relevant material action. We may require acceptance of a newer version before an application, contact exchange, Demo, payment, assignment or programme action. An Admin cannot accept for a user.

You must provide information that is true, current and reasonably complete. Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive or duplicate accounts, share authentication credentials, or use another person's contact details or documents without authority.

4. Account security and verification

Keep passwords, OTPs and recovery links private. Tell us promptly if your account or contact appears compromised. We may require proportionate verification before changing verified contacts, disclosing private information, processing a privacy request or restoring access.

An OTP or verification link proves control of a contact for that transaction. It does not by itself prove identity, qualifications, ownership of documents, fitness to teach or suitability for an assignment.

5. What TuitionCorner does

For ordinary marketplace tuition, TuitionCorner may provide registration, profile listing, requirement posting, discovery, matching, scoped verification, shortlisting, administration, communication support, dispute assistance and disclosed payment facilitation.

Unless a service is expressly sold as a Pragyom-managed service, the Teacher supplies teaching independently. Registration, listing, verification, matching, payment facilitation or operational support does not make the Teacher our employee, agent, partner or representative.

The family and Teacher decide whether to proceed. If a dispute arises, TuitionCorner may record evidence, assist communication and review Platform records, but the primary teaching agreement and responsibility remain between the users. We are not a court or compulsory arbitrator unless all relevant parties separately agree to a lawful process.

6. Profiles, listing and visibility

After basic account approval, approved profile fields may be public even if listing or component verification is still pending. Any public label must accurately show whether the profile, credential, review or teaching scope is verified, unverified or pending. Basic approval is not the same as Listed & Verified status and does not guarantee matching eligibility.

A public Teacher profile may show the approved subset of the Teacher's name, Teacher ID, general locality, profession, experience, qualification summary, teaching scopes, teaching introduction, approved photograph and reviews. A public learning Requirement may show a Requirement ID, class, subject, mode, broad locality, schedule and budget summary.

Direct phone numbers, email addresses, exact addresses, coordinates, date of birth, identity documents, qualification documents, payment details, private schedules, internal notes and child information are not public. Private contact details may be exchanged only after both sides confirm interest and TuitionCorner authorizes the operational step.

A user may ask us to review or change the visibility of eligible information by opening a Service Case through the Contact Us page. We may retain private evidence or historical records where service, safety, accounting, dispute or legal needs require it.

7. Verification and user decisions

A verification label is limited to the evidence, claim and scope actually reviewed. It is not a guarantee of every statement, future conduct, teaching quality, safety, compatibility or result. Users should review the relevant profile, ask reasonable questions and make their own final decision.

TuitionCorner may recommend or shortlist users using available information and human judgement. Matching does not guarantee suitability, availability, continued service or a successful outcome.

8. User content and reviews

You retain ownership of Content you lawfully submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free and limited licence to host, copy, process, format, moderate and display it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, administer and improve the service, maintain required records and comply with law. You must have the right to submit the Content.

Public display follows the applicable visibility rules. Using a public profile, photograph, review or other Content in advertising, testimonials or social-media marketing requires separate marketing consent. Withdrawing that optional consent stops new marketing use, but does not make earlier lawful publication unlawful or erase records we must retain.

Any Registered User may submit a review. It may initially be displayed as an Unverified Review. It becomes a Verified Review only after an authorized Admin confirms sufficient evidence of the relevant interaction. Users must not fabricate, buy, coerce, trade or retaliate over reviews.

We may label, withhold, restrict or remove Content or reviews for privacy, safety, illegality, intellectual-property concerns, abuse, impersonation, irrelevance, manipulation or inadequate evidence. An unfavourable opinion is not removed only because a user disagrees with it; a Service Case may be used to dispute accuracy or context.

9. Acceptable use and academic honesty

You must use the Platform and every shared contact lawfully, honestly and only for the approved learning or service purpose. You must not:

  • threaten, stalk, harass, discriminate unlawfully, exploit or endanger another person;
  • submit false profiles, documents, reviews, applications, attendance, payment information or completion evidence;
  • scrape, copy, resell, publish or misuse profiles, requirements, private contacts or documents;
  • send spam, unrelated marketing or unauthorized solicitations to another user;
  • bypass access controls, probe security, upload malware or interfere with the Platform;
  • post unlawful, obscene, sexually exploitative, hateful, defamatory or privacy-invasive Content;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual-property rights;
  • assist cheating, impersonation, plagiarism, examination misconduct or a breach of an institution's academic-integrity rules; or
  • use TuitionCorner to conceal, facilitate or promote an illegal transaction or activity.

10. Documents and order of priority

These Terms work with the Privacy Notice, Tutor Agreement, Student and Guardian Agreement, Assignment Snapshot and any accepted Programme Terms. If they conflict, the document specifically accepted for that subject controls only that subject; these General Terms control the remaining matters.

For example, an Assignment Snapshot controls the fee, payment route and service charge for that Tuition; accepted Programme Terms control that programme's eligibility, assurance and refund rights; the Tutor or Student Agreement controls that party's role-specific duties.

Informal calls, chats, old webpages or promotional messages do not change an accepted snapshot or agreement unless an authorized correction is recorded and accepted where required.

11. Demo, assignment and fixation

A Demo may be free or paid only when its amount, duration, mode and material conditions are recorded or clearly disclosed beforehand. A Demo is for mutual assessment. It does not guarantee assignment confirmation, payment beyond the disclosed arrangement or a learning result.

Before regular tuition starts, the parties should confirm the Teacher, learner, subjects, mode, location, schedule, start date, tuition amount, fee basis and payment route. Material changes should be agreed by the family and Teacher and recorded with TuitionCorner where Platform support or payment obligations continue.

For the default marketplace service-charge rule and the TuitionCorner Confirmed Tuition Programme, a Tuition is treated as fixed only after the first paid class has been completed and verified, unless an accepted document expressly defines another event for a different service.

12. Service charge, programme fee and taxes

Registration and ordinary profile access may be free, but a Teacher owes a Service Charge when TuitionCorner generates a fixed marketplace Tuition. The default Service Charge is 100% of one month's agreed tuition fee. The accepted Assignment Snapshot controls if it states a different lawful charge.

A programme application or membership fee, including a TuitionCorner Confirmed Tuition Programme fee, is separate from the marketplace Service Charge. It is not automatically credited, adjusted or deducted from the Service Charge.

All stated fees are the total tax-inclusive amount payable by the user. An invoice or receipt may show the base amount and any applicable tax separately without increasing the stated total. The Company and Teacher remain responsible for their own lawful invoicing, tax and professional obligations.

13. Payment collection and settlement

The Assignment Snapshot states whether payment is made through Pragyom or directly to the Teacher. Where Pragyom collects tuition money on the Teacher's behalf, the Teacher authorizes us to receive, account for, deduct the recorded Service Charge, make lawful adjustments and remit the balance.

13.1 Advance-payment arrangement

If the monthly tuition fee is payable in advance, the family ordinarily pays the first month's fee through TuitionCorner. TuitionCorner retains that amount toward the Teacher's full Service Charge. From the second month, the Teacher may receive the full monthly fee directly from the family on the recorded advance basis, after TuitionCorner is informed and the record is updated.

13.2 Month-end arrangement

If the tuition fee is payable at month end, TuitionCorner ordinarily collects the first and second monthly payments. From each payment, 50% of one month's fee is retained toward the Service Charge and 50% is remitted to the Teacher. After the full Service Charge is recovered, later payments may go directly to the Teacher after TuitionCorner is informed and the record is updated.

Example: for a monthly fee of ₹10,000 and a ₹10,000 Service Charge, advance collection means TuitionCorner retains the first ₹10,000 and the Teacher receives later monthly fees. Month-end collection means ₹5,000 is remitted to the Teacher and ₹5,000 retained in each of months one and two.

A payment is not treated as completed until received and successfully recorded. We may place a reasonable temporary hold on money in our control where there is a genuine payment, fraud, chargeback, cancellation or service dispute, while preserving records and reviewing evidence.

14. Cancellation, completed classes and refunds

The family or Teacher may end ordinary marketplace tuition, subject to any accepted minimum term or notice condition. They should inform each other and TuitionCorner promptly so attendance, payment, replacement and refund records can be reviewed.

If a Tuition ends within the first two months, the value of completed classes is calculated pro rata from the recorded fee and schedule. TuitionCorner keeps 50% of that completed-class value as Service Charge and the Teacher receives 50%. Any unused amount still held for undelivered classes is refunded to the family after verification and lawful deductions. This completed-class split also applies where cancellation follows Teacher fault or poor teaching, without limiting any separate consumer remedy required by law.

Money paid directly to a Teacher is primarily the Teacher's responsibility. TuitionCorner may record, assist and review, but does not automatically fund a refund from money the Company did not receive.

Once a refund is approved, TuitionCorner will initiate it within seven business days, normally to the original payment method. If that method fails or cannot lawfully receive the refund, we may use a verified alternative account. Banks and payment providers may need additional processing time.

Completed classes and properly disclosed Demo charges are not automatically refundable merely because a preference later changes. Nothing in this section removes a mandatory consumer right or a specific accepted programme refund right.

15. Direct dealing and intentional circumvention

Direct payment is not itself prohibited. After the recorded Service Charge has been fully recovered, a family may pay the Teacher directly if TuitionCorner is informed and the assignment record remains current. A separately authorized direct-payment route may also be used where the Assignment Snapshot allows it.

A Teacher or family must not intentionally conceal, misreport or privately fix a Tuition introduced through TuitionCorner in order to avoid the recorded Service Charge or other accepted obligation. This is intentional circumvention and a material breach.

Before a final sanction, TuitionCorner will review available evidence and, where reasonably appropriate, give the affected user an opportunity to explain through Support. We may impose an immediate temporary restriction where needed for safety, fraud prevention, evidence preservation or legal compliance.

If intentional circumvention is confirmed, the Teacher may be permanently blocked and all active or pending TuitionCorner assignments may be cancelled with immediate effect, subject to settlement for classes already delivered and any legally required learner-safety step. A knowingly participating Student or Guardian may also be permanently blocked and their active requests cancelled. Historical assignment, payment and dispute records are preserved.

TuitionCorner may seek ₹10,000 or its proven actual loss, whichever is higher, subject to evidence, applicable law and agreement or determination by a competent authority. This amount is not an automatic debit, and no clause authorizes recovery beyond the reasonable compensation permitted by law.

16. Safety, minors and respectful conduct

Adults remain responsible for suitable supervision of minors and a safe teaching environment. Home tuition should take place in an appropriate non-secluded area, with reasonable Guardian access and without locked-room or unsafe private arrangements. No user should demand unnecessary identity, medical, school, financial or private information.

Users must not engage in corporal punishment, humiliation, grooming, sexualized conduct, harassment, threats, unlawful discrimination, intoxication during class or unsafe recording. Do not record, publish or redistribute another person's image, voice, work or messages without the required informed permission and lawful purpose.

Report suspected fraud, abuse, safeguarding risk, harassment or serious misconduct promptly through Contact Support or the grievance channel. TuitionCorner may restrict contact or matching while a safety issue is reviewed.

17. Communications and service notices

We may send necessary account, OTP, verification, requirement, matching, Demo, assignment, payment, refund, support, safety and agreement notices through verified email, WhatsApp, SMS, telephone or in-Platform channels. These service messages are not marketing and may be necessary to operate the account.

Marketing is separate and optional where required. You may withdraw marketing consent without stopping necessary service messages. Do not send passwords, OTPs or full payment-card details through chat, open forms or ordinary support messages.

The Platform may use payment providers, communication providers, maps, video tools, cloud storage, identity or security services and other processors. Their terms may apply to their service. We select and instruct providers for defined purposes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of systems outside our reasonable control.

A link to another website or service does not mean TuitionCorner endorses all of its content, security or conduct. Use third-party services carefully and review their applicable terms and privacy information.

19. Suspension, closure and retained records

We may remove Content, pause an action, restrict matching or contact exchange, suspend listing, or close an account where reasonably needed for safety, security, fraud prevention, inaccurate claims, non-payment, repeated misuse, material breach, investigation or legal compliance. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and available review route.

You may request account closure, subject to verification. Closure does not erase accrued payment duties, accepted agreements, consumer rights, dispute evidence, safety records or information that must be retained for law, accounting, fraud prevention, audit or legitimate claims.

20. No general guarantee

Except for a specific written assurance in separately accepted Programme Terms, TuitionCorner does not guarantee a perfect match, a Teacher within a fixed time, a free or successful Demo, a minimum number of leads, assignment duration, marks, rank, admission, employment, earnings or any other learning or commercial result.

The Platform and its general features are provided on an “as available” basis. We will use reasonable care in providing our own services, but do not promise that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every user's purpose.

21. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that rule, TuitionCorner is not responsible for indirect, special, punitive or consequential loss, loss caused by a user's false information, or independent conduct and interactions between a Teacher and family that are outside our reasonable control.

Where a user proves direct loss caused by TuitionCorner's own failure to perform an accepted duty, our aggregate contractual liability for that affected service is limited to the Service Charge or other Company fee actually received for that service. We may refund that fee after review. This cap does not apply where applicable law does not permit it.

Each party must take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss. TuitionCorner is not liable for delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond its control, including widespread network, payment-system, government, natural-disaster, public-health or civil-disruption events.

22. Limited user indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a user must reimburse TuitionCorner for a third-party claim and reasonable documented cost only to the extent directly caused by that user's intentional fraud, forged or fake documents, knowingly illegal Content, deliberate infringement of another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights, or confirmed intentional circumvention.

This clause does not make a user responsible for TuitionCorner's own negligence, breach, unlawful conduct or an event the user did not cause. TuitionCorner must notify the user of a material claim and allow reasonable participation in the defence or resolution where appropriate.

23. Changes to services and these Terms

We may improve, replace, pause or discontinue Platform features. We will not use a general website change to retrospectively rewrite an accepted Assignment Snapshot, accrued payment right or programme promise.

The active Terms page shows its version and effective date. Material changes are published as a new immutable version. Where reacceptance is required, it is requested before the next relevant material action. Historical acceptance evidence remains linked to the version actually accepted.

24. Complaints, grievances and governing law

Use Contact Support so the issue receives a trackable Service Case or complaint reference. Consumer, privacy and safety grievances may be sent to Jayita Kayal, Customer Support Manager and Consumer Grievance Officer, at contact@pragyom.com or 9830430075. We will acknowledge a consumer complaint within 48 hours and seek to resolve it within one month, subject to the facts and applicable law.

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Courts with lawful jurisdiction over the Company's registered office in Patna, Bihar may hear disputes, but this does not remove a mandatory consumer forum, statutory grievance route or other jurisdiction that applicable law gives the user.

Entire agreement. These Terms and the applicable documents listed in Section 10 form the agreement for use of TuitionCorner. The agreed priority rule in Section 10 applies if documents overlap.

Severability. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or replaced only to the minimum extent needed, and the remaining provisions continue.

No waiver. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. A waiver must be clear and applies only to the stated case.

Assignment. A user may not transfer an account or accepted agreement without written approval. The Company may transfer its rights and duties as part of a lawful restructuring, merger, sale or service transfer, subject to notice and applicable data-protection and consumer law.

Electronic records. Authenticated clicks, OTP events, timestamps, version identifiers, payment records and audited Admin actions may be retained as electronic evidence of the relevant action, subject to applicable law.

Survival. Payment, refund, content, confidentiality, dispute, liability, indemnity, governing-law and record-retention provisions continue where their nature requires them to continue after account or assignment closure.
