Why I teach: When I was a school student and I faced difficulty in understanding a topic I would sit down infront of the mirror and imagine myself as a teacher. Then by looking at the mirror I would imagine my reflection as the student and start explaining. This not only helped me understand the topic but also gave a confidence on being a good teacher. That is the time when I realised that I actually like teaching and can be a good teacher in the future.

Teaching journey: As a private tutor I have always had a good flow of students and almost all of them have had a good rapport with me. Moreover, I have been successful in drawing the attention of my students towards the subjects I teach. Most of them have been able to perform well under my guidance and are still continuing to do so. I have also faced challenging situations when I had to deal with students lacking in academic performance. Those were the times when I proved myself by guiding as well as supporting them constantly so that they are able to perform well.

Student progress: I have mainly taught students from the 6th to 10th standards mainly though on a few occasions I have also guided students of lower classes as well. I have mainly remained focused on teaching students of ICSE background. I have always handled an average number of 5 or 6 students at a time in batches as well as individually. Most of my students have performed well in the board exams with decent grades well above 80% of marks.
