my teaching. I pay stress on vocubulary so as to make the child learn to think analytically and express herself/himself effectively both verbally and in writing.
Why I teach: I prefer hometutions to school teaching because:
1. It allows me to interact with the child on a personal level, enabling me to monitor his progress more effectively.
2. It allows me the space to go beyond the syllabus, try out new methods of engagement for the child.
3. It has flexi-hours.
Teaching journey: I have been teaching since 1992. After I completed my Masters in Enlish Literature, I did a Montessori training, an M.S in Psychotherapy and have almost completed my MA in psychology from Ignou. After I left DPS Rubypark in 2008, I have established a school for the economically disadvantaged at Sonarpur, At present we look after 60 students. I have also attended various teaching workshops, mentionable among them: Development Of Digital COntent at CET, IIT Kharagpur.2017.
Student progress: Most of my students are from DPS Ruby park, other than that I have taught students of Dolna, Garden High, DonBosco Park circus, G.D Birla, Indus Valley World School, Carmel Convent, Etc.
