bing and dealing with knowledge. Therefore, to give out a singular and uniform tutoring approach for everyone is not only wrong but also harmful for the student in the long run. My essential purpose, always has been and will be to cater to the individual needs of the students, understand and point out where his/her weaknesses and strengths lie so that we both can collaborate and work on those areas. At the same time, I try to instill a healthy urge for learning among my students by making topics as interesting and as relevant as possible so that education becomes a dynamic, stimulating and life-shaping experience. Finally, the methodology of teaching that I will draw out at the very beginning will include regular tests and a constant update on information and syllabus so that students can be well prepared in time before the commencement of their exams.

Why I teach: For a person who herself has navigated her way through the academic journey till graduation with considerable success, I have, over the years, accumulated certain strategies and tricks which made my process of learning interesting and enriching and thereby I like to share it with my fellow juniors or people alike. Teaching is the one fundamental process that not only allows me to contribute my part to the society through the distribution of the little knowledge that I have but it also provides me with an opportunity to keep up with the changing trends in the world of academics. For me, teaching is that one fine, little thread of utmost importance that connects the past with the present as we pass over our knowledge to the newer and fresher minds of this generation and the entire process, for me, is thus fulfilling, wholesome and beautiful.

Teaching journey: To describe my academic journey, I would have to start with my ICSE results where I scored roughly 92% followed by my ISC results which gave me 96% as a result of which I could take admission in one of the most prestigious and esteemed educational institutions in India- St. Xavier's College(Autonomous), Kolkata. I pursued my honours in English Literature over there and graduated with 72% roughly. Meanwhile, I had also been tutoring variety of students from different classes and some of them passed their boards with 80% to 90%. I have successfully taught Political Science and English at the plus two level and a variety of other subjects like history, civics and geography at class 10 level. After completing my graduation, I took and successfully passed the entrance test for the renowned English Department of Jadavpur University and I am currently pursuing my masters over there.

Student progress: I have taught about 12-15 students from various educational institutions like Loreto, Calcutta Girls, Purwanchal Vidyamandir and the like. Most of the students have been from ICSE and ISC boards although I have tutored some students from CBSE as well. As a result of my teaching, a lot of them could pass their board examinations with successful percentages which allowed them entries into reputed colleges and schools. A lot of them also took active interest in academics and wished to pursue it fervently since I always try to develop among my students, a love and respect for the subject.
