Teaching approach: I make them love coding. That's my initial approach. If a student gets to see what a subject has to offer, their interest grows. I make them get fascinated about coding, making sure they understand the possibilites of it. Once they under

stand that the possibilities are limitless, their interest grows, upon which I try to build a base. Starting with the foundation is the key in techincal subjects like these. Once the basics are clear, I dive into small projects. If a student makes something with their own hands, it gives them a sense of joy which furthers their interest. I usually end my courses with a capstone project which delves into every little details about the subject, making sure students have a clear concept once we are finished.
Why I teach: Growing up I watched my mother teach while working. That was my initial inspiration. Later I used to teach my cousins when we met. That helped me understand that I can teach. Once I passed out of 12th, I started teaching. Initially, it was for monetary needs, but as time went on I started loving it.
Teaching journey: I once taught a girl who was 9 years old hailing from Texas, USA. When she came to me, she wanted to learn python basics. It was pretty challenging since kids of that age aren't that good with arithmetic, which is the base of coding. I taught her for 3 straight years, starting from python basics, to advanced, to big data. She later went on to participate in IICPC and did pretty well for her age.
Student progress: My first student was a child from class 8. He was in KV ballygunge. Then, I taught a couple of girls who were from BDM International (class 4 and 7 respectively). Then I taught a student of class 10, kept teaching until he passed out in 12th when his group of friends (4 people) were all studying under me (Lions Internation School, ICSE).
In coding, I started with a guy in high school residing in Washington. Then taught two 9 year olds about python. Taught a guy hailing from middle east, he was almost 40 years old or maybe even more. He was looking for a career transition from glass industry to IT. I taught him bootcamp piscine C. Taught two students from Tel aviv about C#, OOPs. And there were many others as well who took help in their academic projects. I have them up on github if you want to check.
